Moving should be an exciting time, but for most it seems to be extremely stressful.  Sure enough there's a lot to do, but like most tasks, if you allow yourself plenty of time, and make a plan then it should all fall into place.
 
Obviously, there are huge varieties of family and house sizes.  Some people are moving to the other end of the country while some move a few doors down the street, but we'll cover the whole  range and you can cross off what doesn't apply to you.
 
    We recommend getting started about 4-6 weeks before you're due to move.  But you should really wait until your move has been confirmed.  There's no point in going through the whole process if the sale falls through and you have to cancel it all. 
 
    Notify all your family services that you're moving home and that either you will or won't be requiring their services in future.  (Doctors, dentist, hospitals, pharmacy, district nurse, post office, newsagent, milkman, gym, clubs, schools)
 
    Spring cleaning.  There's little point in moving rubbish from your old home into the new one, so have a ruthless clear out.  You'll be amazed at the amount of stuff you've hoarded away into the house, loft, shed and garage, and by how much space you'll save by getting rid of it all.    Either spend some time at the local car-boot sale or running to the tip.
 
    Now for the actual packing and moving.  Are you quite happy to do it all yourself?  Would you like some assistance?  Would you like the full packing and moving service with everything done for you?

  OPTION 1 is to hire a van, buy some boxes and packing materials and just get on with it.  Only recommended if you have a relatively small amount of furniture and possessions.

                Dundee - outside London, 1 x Luton (furniture) van = Approx. £900

 For distance moves, please call us on 01674 669041 and ask for an estimate, or fill out our quote forms for a detailed price.  We cannot just state a price as every move has different circumstances, i.e. packing, van sizes, distance, overnight.  We do guarantee to beat any quote received by any  local removal company.

Terms: Local means within your town or within 10 miles.  Over 10 miles, fuel charge will apply at the stated vehicle rate.  National prices are based on mileage calculated on Microsoft Autoroute from door to door so your actual price may be less or more than those shown as a guide above. You are responsible for any parking charges required while your work is in progress.

Please also note:  We must comply with the Road Traffic Act so if you require a large number (30+) of small but heavy boxes of books to be moved, we may need to use a larger vehicle to provide a higher weight capacity.

 
   
 OPTION 3 Let us do it all.  Either you can pack your own boxes or hire us to do it, but we come and lift everything into the van and unload at the new place.  We need more information to provide prices for the full service.  Over on the quote form page, fill in all the boxes and send us your details.  We'll work it out and get a quote back to you.
