Prices:  If you have an extraordinary amount of furniture and boxes to be moved, or an extensive amount of outdoor goods in the shed or garage, then the price could be substantial, but there is a way you can keep the moving expenses within a budget. 

By far the most popular option is self-packing and wrapping.  Order up a packing kit, and take your time packing non-essentials.  Then nearer to the big day it will be a case of boxing up those last few items.  Our best advice is to give yourself plenty of time, and don't under-estimate how many boxes you'll need. 

As a guide we'd say 10-15 for a single bedroom property, 20-25 for 2 bedrooms and 30-40 for 3 bedrooms.  Naturally there are big variations, so if you have an extensive collection, you'll want to order specific sized boxes for that, but these numbers refer to a general household of goods. 

Our packing service is priced separately, and we can only give a price for that from a visit to record your inventory of goods.

Boxes: After using several different suppliers, we've found the best company for boxes and packing materials is HelpiNeedBoxes. We regularly price check to make sure we're getting good prices, as we use their boxes to.  The difference is they have all inclusive prices which also include delivery, so there's no surprise at the checkout with VAT and shipping costs.  The price you see is the price you pay.

Don't be tempted to use supermarket boxes.  They're far too flimsy for your valuable and fragile goods, and it's difficult to pack a van with a variety of different shapes and sizes.  The proper boxes are modular, so they all fit together tight and secure.
